39 weeks and stressed

I’ve been booked for induction today at UHCW and they called me in the morning there are no beds so I would have to wait for the doctors to discharge patients first and they would call me to come in It’s 16:30pm and I’ve called back to Follow up and they telling me to come to fetal Well being for baby monitoring and the doctors would have a plan afterwards? What kind of stress is this ?

I did fetal monitoring and then induction there :)

How was the experience please can you tell me ??

@Georgie please

It was hard. The monitoring was great but the induction went on for 18 hours for me with the pessary as I waited to dialate enough to go to labour ward (4cm) The care I had at the hospital was brilliant from everyone. I gave birth two and a half weeks ago. Do you know what type of induction you're having?

This is my second baby so I think it’s the Pessary

Or the gel

The gel I think

The gel ive seen is much better as the induction is only 6 hours rather than super long like the pessary... I had my first which is why I couldn't have the gel straight away. I bet your experience will be better!! And the staff were amazing :) xx

Yeah read so

Hopefully

Just expect to be waiting round for a few days with induction if baby is still happy inside from your monitoring.. it usually takes a few days to get your proper place on labour ward if the pessary/gel doesn’t do its thing quickly.. as obviously the ladies coming in labouring naturally take priority.. once you get your delivery room & midwife when it’s actually happening they can’t do enough for you & you have your 1-1 midwife for the rest of your labour ❤️❤️

So hard to stay patient & can get fustrating when you feel forgotten about waiting around but I was a lot better knowing what to expect with my second than my first induction xx

& il agree staff were amazing with both of ours

Currently contracting really bad and 4cm dilating already so hopefully things go well
