@Claudia she been more fussy than normal. I just freaks me out cause I want her to eat and she won’t. She is still breastfeeding but eating no.
@Celinah it definitely sounds to coincide with the increase in developmental changes at 6 months old then. I can see you're in the US, but for reference we in the UK don't start babies on solids until 6 months (unless advised by a doctor) so there shouldn't be any harm while she isn't eating for a short while. Have you tried feeding her something else?
Are you feeding her or is she self feeding? Is there a reason you’re giving her the same food that often?
@GMF I feed her. I gave her the same food since I first started I gave her other food but we keep that was a constant thing for her.
@Claudia I think it’s just worry sine since it’s been days since she has last ate.
I would let her feed herself. It advances their eating skills and decreases the risk of choking. She may also just be tired of eating the same thing all the time! Offering a wide variety is definitely encouraged to hopefully avoid picky eating in the future.
3 times a day for the last 2 months is going to get boring. Even if you mix in a new flavor it will help. But I agree it can definitely be a multitude of things including wanting more milk as 6 months is a classic growth spurt so their milk intake can increase to build up calories for their growing body. Try mixing it up and allowing her to eat by herself and see how she responds.
I mean that’s not good to feed rice porridge 3 times a day it has no nutrients . Why not start her on fruits and veggies - she is probably must bored of it too !
I personally wouldn't be offering food 3 times a day. Main nutrition source is milk until 1 so she's still getting what she needs. It's meant to start at once a day then slowly increase until they get closer to one.
Honestly 3x a day is a lot of food at that age. They are just really experimenting with food. Their main food should be breast milk or formula. Six months is also the more common age to begin feeding.
Most like a growth spurt and unlikely to be something to be worried about. What makes you concerned? Is there something else contributing to your concern? If you're concerned you should speak to a doctor to put your mind at ease.
