Are you trying to keep baby asleep or full? If these are the reasons, ask your pediatrician and see what they suggest. Rice cereal in baby bottles is an outdated suggestion and it's really not safe for babies at all. I wish I knew better when I had my first son 9 years ago but you live and you learn.

My pediatrician said they don’t do this anymore
She never needed extra food. We just started solids at 6 months. If your baby is clearly hungry where milk is not enough then you give them rice porridge. I think from 4 months is fine. My friend’s mum said she gave them rice porridge from 3-4 months. He’s 6’4 now so - figures he needed it
Never I start oatmeal bottles instead a week before 4months night time only & she’s perfectly fine & sleeps long stretches
I did this and my daughter would pop all over the place so no we don’t do it no more honestly I don’t her the gerber cereals so I just been giving my baby solids, some baby food and 6 ounces will just do it for my 7 month old daughter
I did this for all 3 of my children, currently doing it for my newborn and they were fine. Rice, Oatmeal, and other types. I added only 1/2 tsp to 1 tsp. I only use European brands. Hipp, Holle, Kendamil.

@Francesca I waited till they were atleast a month old (between 4-6 weeks). I started my newborn with it last week. She’s 6 weeks going on 7 weeks. If you are considering it. Try the European brands like Holle, Hipp. I’ve only use European formula and cereal with my children. They have strict regulations when it comes to what they put in their foods and how they process it. USA formula and cereals are filled with nonsense 🗑️
@Monét legit tell me things I know already. I’m over here trying to be more open minded with my second kid and especially cause he a big back lol
