I would go with whatever your pediatrician has recommended. If you don’t know, you can always call and ask 😊
My pediatrician said that we could too but I am opting to wait until 6 months and doing BLW. It was amazing with my 2.5 year old.
@Sarah I want to do BLW too I saw the benefits for it but of course make sure till he’s ready
My pediatrician said to wait until 6 months, unless he starts to not sleep through the night anymore and waking up in the middle of the night starving. If he wakes up a little early hungry that's one thing, but if he is waking up at 2am instead of 6am, then i will start.
For me personally my pediatrician said it was ok to start purées at 4.5 months but we waited until she was showing signs of being ready and we fed her carrot purée for the first time today at 5 m 5 days. I put the spoon in her mouth without food on it a few days ago to get her used to the feeling and then fed her less than a spoonful of carrot purée today. She didn’t do bad with it she just didn’t know what it was lol. You know your baby best!
yes!
I feed my baby cereal she’ll be 5 months on the 10th
@Cindy yes! Absolutely, BLW is really specific about what makes a baby ready (which I love because it makes me feel safe). There are apps (like solids starts) and Facebook groups that are really helpful to know how to give your kiddo all the different foods to make them safe for their age.
I feed my 4 month old cereal and baby food as well as mashed potatoes, Dr approved it all and he loves the mashed potatoes 🤣
Following! My doc said to start feeding for taste
