Amazing! Thanks, I know is not a concern right now as we will do only one meal from 6 months but it was more like a variation, like I know they can only have 1/4 egg a week as is too much protein for their kidneys
We’re pescatarian (rarely eat fish but my toddler eats the odd fish finger), don’t follow any charts, but we have lots of beans, lentils, eggs, tofu, tempeh, cheese, yoghurt and nuts in our diet. She’s not a fan of fake meats, usually refuses tofu and things like paneer in a curry, but she loves eggs, beans and lentils!
@Micaela I've never followed anything and even didn't know about the egg and I have my 4th baby to start on food 🙈🤣 I try to give them just the same I eat, so around 1yo they have same as me just without salt 🙂
@Micaela never heard this before! I would only start with a small amount of egg while you give it the first few times in case of an allergy, but if there’s no reaction then you can keep feeding them egg.
@Lauren thank you! ❤️ just wanted to make sure is safe, I am Italian and my family are big meat eaters, they are kind of brain washing me saying that won’t give Bea enough nutrients 🤦🏻♀️
@Micaela it’s definitely safe! I’ve spoken to health visitors about it and they’re happy for us to continue, they’ve just recommended her taking a vitamin with iron in.
@Lauren I’ll keep that in mind 😘
So lovely to see fellow vegetarians bringing up new veggies xx
We are, but we eat fish once in a while so more pescaterians. Protein is not only in beans snd eggs but in many other products. Also little ones need just to get used to textures and tastes, it's not suppost to make their tummy's full. So it's still milk they taking for protein and vitamins 🙂
