No puree

Have you all done puree food at first? I’ve always preferred giving my daughter stick foods so she could explore the texture. Don’t know whether i am a reason or not but she prefers finger food over puree is that normal for a 7month old to not really try to eat puree at all?

I've started directly with food no puree (which I started giving her later sometimes mostly breakfast and snack like yogurt fruit and things blended together to give her in pouches) but otherwise she likes eating food by her own, she doesn't like/want for me to use the spoon on her, she has to do it herself 🤣 so yeah she a food kind of girl

I started baby led weaning at 6 months.. all finger foods to start with.. trying something different everyday. Tested all the allergens. Now he’s turned 8 months and he eats same as me I just modify it so watch the salt/sugar content. He feeds himself.. which does get very messy.. but means we can eat at the table at the same time. He loves his food! I tried him with a pouch last week and he refused it 🤦🏽‍♀️

We started with puree and she hated it. Much prefers baby led so we’ve stuck to that and it’s going much better.

We did purees from 4 months but as soon as she hit nearly 6 months we've been doing BLW :) She doesn't like purees anymore apart from yogurt and the odd fruit puree :)
