Anyone given birth at Liverpool women’s and had a water birth?

Looking for any help and advice. Currently I am seeing a whiston hospital midwife as that’s where I come under for my area. Had my last baby at whiston and it was just awful. So asked to go to the women’s this time. They said that’s fine but would still need to be a whiston midwife ? I’m 38 weeks pregnant now and just feel like I don’t know what’s going to happen? Iv asked at the women’s and they have said to talk to my midwife about birth plan (which I had already made) but my midwife says she doesn’t know how it works at the women’s because obviously she is from whiston hospital. Ideally I want a water birth on the midwife led unit but unsure how I go about this. I’m low risk and had a normal birth with No issues my first time. Sorry for the paragraph. Any advice is really appreciated, thankyou. 💗

I had a water birth at the women’s send me a message x

I don’t have any advice unfortunately but I’m intrigued by the whiston part because I’m 37 weeks, hoping for a pool birth and delivering at whiston 😬😬

@Lauren I had my last during Covid so it was a wild time. I’m sure that had a lot to do with it. But they messed up a lot. They didn’t know I was rhesus negative so I was never given the anti D. Bloods kept being ‘inconclusive’ appointments always cancelled or I would turn up with my letter and they had no one to see me. The way the staff spoke to me at some appointments had me leaving in tears. Just had a really bad experience with them. But I had friends who have had amazing experiences there. 🤷🏼‍♀️ x

@Lauren also I had planned for a water birth with them. When I got there they firstly told my I wasn’t in labour and my waters hadn’t broken, checked me and I was. 🙈🙃. Then told me they had no water birth rooms available and just took me straight to a regular delivery room. I asked if I could move if it needed become available and was told no. X

Do you have a point of contact at the women’s? I wanted a water birth but Ended up being induced but they do have lots of rooms at the women’s and they are happy to move rooms if there’s not one available to start etc, as I asked all these questions prior to having my daughter in December (now back under them 11w with baby #2)

Hii, I asked for a water birth in the women’s, I didn’t last long in the water because it was so uncomfortable it was literally a massive bath and was so uncomfortable in my opinion, If you haven’t already try ringing the women’s hospital and chasing it all up, the woman’s were awful with me and my little boy but obviously that doesn’t mean you will have a bad experience as I’ve heard good things too, hope all goes well!❤️

I had a waterbirth and personally for me was the best experience eases the pain and I felt weightless in the water I’m terrible with pain generally but only had gas and air and in the and the midwives was amazing along with a brilliant student midwife they helped me relax and with my breathing xx

I had water birth well the baby didn’t come out in the water as my waters didn’t break when they checked and broke my waters she was there so didn’t get to go back in the water but I would absolutely recommend a water birth I found the water helped with contractions I also had no pain relief not even gas & air I rocked back and forth in the water I even fell asleep between contractions😅had an amazing midwife and student midwife they just told me to go with my body didn’t rush me checked baby’s heartbeat let me know what they was doing before doing it always asked me 3 and half hours I was in labour for
