How are we dealing with letting my babies feed themselves 😬
I tend to feed her brekki and lunch as she'll get so messy otherwise and we are quite active and always on our way out after for a bsby class ect then i let her feed herself dinner and she'll go strsight in the bath after as super messy and its all in her hair..i tend to make a double portion as i know half of it will end up on the floor..she's flicking it..throwing it..oh my lord my ocd cant deal!
I feel bad as she keeps grabbing the spoon at brekki and lunch wanting to feed herself but then she'll be sooo messy and we will never get out.
Do u all let them feed themselves the full 3 meals?
She has lots of finger food snacks too.

We’ve let baby self feed from the start he won’t be spoon fed unless it’s a yogurt 🤦🏽♀️ Breakfast is often messy I feed in his jammies and then we get dressed after breakfast to save a set of clothes. Lunch I keep it beige or foods that don’t stain/ wipe off easy so that it’s not such a drama and then dinner he has whatever we have and we let him go at it before a bath x
We’ve self fed from start and I’m only now starting to introduce a spoon for yogurt. My lo isn’t too bad with mess as it all goes in his mouth 🤣 he’s a starver 🤣🙈
We’ve done blw from the start, she absolutely won’t let me feed her. We just do less messy options for breakfast and lunch

Yes we let her feed herself all 3 meals-she will point blank refuse food if we help. Lunch is finger foods so not too bad. Breakfast is messy as she has porridge and she half uses the spoon, but mainly uses her hands and it goes everywhere (bib catches a good chunk of it though) Evening meal.as you say it's bathtime afterwards. There's mess but I think I'm.just used to.it now. If I need her to be relatively clean I'll put her bibbado on and that does help.
