Depending how you’re feeding you can serve Xmas dinner following BLW guidelines or shove some in a blender to make it a puree. For toys maybe a ball pit, walker, activity table type toys. Maybe box of sensory stuff x
You can get toys for 9 mo olds to wait for them to get more interesting like shape sorters, ring stack spinning toy, around 6 month the sensory tissue box became interesting and he still loves it at 13 mo. We had a mirror on wheels and the wheels had little beads in so when it went it rattled and it was so good for encouraging crawling at around 7 months. It had a hedgehog face I think Fisher price. Teethers are always good Look up solid starts for how to serve turkey and carrot and Brussels sprout you would just need to cook them without salt and don't use any gravy
My daughter will be 6 months about a week after Christmas! Ive made a list of gifts for our daughter using the GoWish app (def recommend) and its mainly developmental toys for that age like coin and ball boxes for object permanence and sorting toys. Ive also got some BLW items in there, some "just for fun" toys that dont really help with development but would still be fun for her to play with, and some bath toys. Also if you don't want to many clothes I might suggest telling family not to get clothes unless it's approved first, otherwise u may end up with only clothes. As for food, my daughter has already started puree a bit early (ped suggestion) so we'll like be starting BLW a little early as well but that depends on her. If you're going to do BLW then you can just modify Christmas dinner into pieces the right size, and I would also avoid common allergens as best you can unless they've already been tried. If baby is on puree then you could just blend it up with a mini portable blender.
No help with presents but he absolutely can have a whole Christmas dinner! (Almost). Just modify babies portion and leave out any honey glazed veg/ ham 😊
