@Jade it is. We cant force them to eat 😭 i just hope he grows out of it. I know hes hungry but hes so stubborn x
@Sarah so difficult! He’s also teething and his back ones are poking through so hopefully part of the reason is because of this! 😅 x
Yep! Mine just seems to have zero appetite. His weight gain has slowed right down and we had blood tests done last week which showed he is deficient in a couple of things so I’m in a total spin now! I don’t know how to get him to eat as we’ve tried everything and he’s just not interested!
@Rebecca its really hard because theyre now little people, we cant force food down their necks 😭 ill get him back for all tbis stress on his 18th with all the crying photos i have of him haha x
Yes!! It’s been weeks now the past few days it’s only been yoghurts I’m getting worried now 😞
I recently went on holiday and bubs had the entire buffet to choose from. He was absolutely spoilt to the point upon returning home I’ve needed options for most meals 😅 I’ve noticed a lot of time I can make something and he won’t eat it. So I’ve taken what he does eat and mixed it in with new things until he eats it. Like yoghurt for example - plain yoghurt pasta, yoghurt rice etc - thankfully it’s getting easier. Lots of variety and if he eats great, if not I supplement with a bottle
@Sarah exactly! Sometimes I think we have more success with spoon feeding but then he actually puts his hands inside his mouth and pulls the food out! Haha yeah good point 😂
We’re in the same boat! He used to eat quite well before he turned one but since then it’s been a struggle. Doesn’t help that some days he’ll love a meal and then suddenly refuse to eat it. He’s also on the smaller side so I do worry about him eating enough. I found that if I keep him entertained he’ll usually let me feed him a decent amount. He currently carries his duplo figures everywhere and if we pretend to feed the toy first sometimes he’ll eat whatever it was himself. If not then while he’s busy feeding his toys I’ll put some food in front of his mouth and usually he does eat it. He also likes feeding his animal magnets and if that fails I let him splash about with his water cup and that usually entertains him enough to let me feed him. It is quite messy but I felt like meal times were getting way too stressful and I didn’t want him to have a bad association with food so now he has fun while I get the peace of mind that he’s eating something
@Oliwia that's such a good idea feeding his toys! I hadn't thought of that, we'll give that a go.
My son is the same, he will eat certain things he knows he likes, won’t even try lots of things, doesn’t really like overly sweet things - pretty much survives off fish cake and potato of sorts currently and it makes me feel awful 😅🤦🏼♀️ he’s also tiny and dropping centiles as not gained weight since July - but it’s so tricky with what to do!! X
