FUSSY EATER!!!!!!

Has anyone else got a fussy eater toddler🙈 all I seem to manage to get down him is his breakfast and a sandwich for lunch, some fruit.. then once tea time comes he looks at his food and walks away or launches it🙄 do I offer alternatives that I know he definitely likes or do I just leave him? Dunno if I’m making a rod for my own back giving him chicken nuggets as an alternative all the time but seems to be the only thing he’ll actually eat…Hlllppppp🤦🏻‍♀️

Your not alone am currently going through the same! He will pick things up go to eat them then throw them and that’s with things he would usually eat. I don’t know if it’s because he’s recently started walking he doesn’t like sitting for long or there’s something else going on. Mine was meant to be born in March but came a month earlier so is the same age. X

@Nicola there’s a couple of people I’ve spoke to now all saying they’re having the same problems… I’m wondering if it’s an age thing so not permanent! I’ve been advised to just give what they eat as alternatives.. he’s had two bowls of cereal for his tea tonight after refusing a roast dinner which he usually refuses anyway…xx

@Sophie ah I see that makes sense cause I seen a post on February babies about fussy eating, I hope so because last time my little one done it I had him at the doctors, but the doctor couldn’t find anything wrong with him which worried me more if that makes sense. Yep ave done the same although breakfast and tea he normally does well with, I even did him frozen chicken dippers, potato waffle and beans for his tea which he rarely has and he hardly touched it. We had a Sunday dinner which my little one normally would eat and again he wouldn’t eat it, so I know how you feel. Xx

Late Feb baby here and having the exact same issues, some days will polish all emails and snacks and others everything gets pushed away! I know that Weetabix, waffles, toast or any kind of chip/alphabet letter/ smiley face doesn't get turned down 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ She has happily ate risotto pasta with broccoli and cheese a few times this week, very repetitive but I feel like it's all I can get her to actually eat!

@Taylor I think from what I’ve heard as long as they’re eating something then to just keep letting them eat it! A friend of mines daughter lived on milkshakes and cereal for years and the dr told her that the cereal has all the nutrition in they need… trying not to worry now and just go with the flow! Xx

My 20 month old isn’t fussy luckily but my eldest who’s nearly 4 has been fussy since he was about 1 year 😩😩 if I’m honest I used to stress about it and try making new things but he just wouldn’t eat them and dinner would end up being me giving him an alternative like toast all the time. It does get a bit easier when they can tell you what they want but majority of the time my eldest eats chicken dippers, pizza, pancakes and fish fingers 🥲 there isn’t one vegetable he’ll eat apart from potato occasionally and the only fruit he’ll eat is bananas and grapes at nursery x

@Kaitlyn ah that makes me feel so much better! It’s just so frustrating sometimes isn’t it xx
