We have done Chester Zoo a few times but last time was far too cold and long to walk round. I have been told Knowsley and Gullivers are better for younger kids, and we keep looking at the sleepover at Gullivers x
Not for the lanterns, but I hated Gullivers World. It could be amazing with some investment but it’s so run down and unsafe (we got crashed into on one of the rides, luckily only at slow speed) I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
Heard Chester Zoo is amazing but haven’t been to any.
