Food

Just like to get peoples votes on how you’re feeding/fed your baby at 10 months old. Feeling major pressure I’m doing it wrong.

Do what's best for your baby. Not every baby will confidently feed themselves - aslong as you're giving them more textured foods and they're having some opportunity to handle finger foods themselves they'll be okay! I did BLW with mine because he got the hang of it very quickly. If I felt like it just wasn't working I'd most likely have done a mix of spoon feeding and BLW.

We started my son on purées (being spoon fed) at about 4.5 months (a little cereal followed by actual purées. We just did once a day). I started soft/mashed solids around 8 months I think. He didn’t start feeding himself until just before 10 months. Wt this point he was eating mostly table food/solids with purées to supplement as needed. You’re not doing it wrong. Especially if your baby is eating! I was getting very frustrated/discouraged because baby would play with the food and WOULD NOT bring it to his mouth. No interest in even trying.

I totally get it, whenever I hang out with other Mum's, I start to feel like I'm doing it wrong too! Do what works for you. I tried spoon feeding, but my son eats better when he can feed himself so we mostly do baby led weaning. He's almost 11 months now
