Chewing on objects

My little boy is almost 3, were on the waitlist to be assessed for autism. He constantly puts objects in his mouth and chews on them. Whether these are hard objects, chewable objects, books, and he quite often seeks these objects out, especially at preschool, has anyone got any advice or alternatives for me to buy him?

My favorite is Ark Therapeutic. Their chew toys don’t break off or crumble and the styles transition into cool looking designs for older kids (or mom can wear them if their child is always right by her side). https://www.arktherapeutic.com/?gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADzqpym7KefrO_pSKkpjCrSsCRnoR&gclid=Cj0KCQiA0MG5BhD1ARIsAEcZtwT_CAKMGgjN7YF-0au3aacfLnH3UCEP9LVLJhk4g_Z-ncblmPXtM6caAmO3EALw_wcB

@Alicia We have tried these as well. My son just doesn't like things around his neck or clipped to his clothing. We even have a z-vibe which vibrates and had a block like attachment like these.🤷🏽‍♀️

Chewy necklaces! You can buy them on amazon, my son has ran through so many😂

My son is the same way. Hes destroyed a ton of books. His developmental specialist suggested that it could be that he is wanting oral stimulation so they suggested we give him sour or spicy foods and that helps sometimes!

My daughter is the same, she is 6 in April. She has no interest in chewy toys. Dried fruit like mango seems to help a bit!

Chew buddy there are necklaces bracelets he can even have them in his pocket to keep close
