Getting toddler to chew
How did you teach your little one to chew. In the last month or so she just learned to put food to her mouth but she mostly swallows it so I make sure to give her soft foods. I just don’t know what to do or how to teach her to chew. When I show her by putting food in my mouth and chewing she just laughs lol which doesn’t help the cause

@Haley 💚 she was mostly on purées and then I transitioned to the more chunkier foods and then we she started putting food to her mouth she just started giving her whatever we were eating. She also doesn’t realize that she can’t put pieces after pieces in her mouth. We have early intervention coming the end of this month so hoping they can give more insight. I’m just trying to do things to help her in the meantime cause she worries me when eating
@Katrina hopefully early intervention helps her. My daughter still stuffs her mouth sometimes.

We did blw along with purées at 6 months and chewing was just natural. There are trial and errors that involved gagging but it all worked itself out. Continue to exposed her to solids and eat in front of her. Has she been on purées until now? Maybe look into getting a speech therapy.
