Primary HLTA and due 15th April. Also feeling the same.
I am due 20th Feb and I have set my first day of maternity leave as the 14th, the day we break up for half term.
There is a loop hole for teachers and shared parental leave which can mean you get additional weeks at full pay by “going back to work” in the holidays - just in case you weren’t already aware!
i’m a nursery worker working in a school nursery term time only, i’m due 29th april, i will officially take my mat leave on the 23rd April (im part time so do weds-fri) but my last day will technically be the day before the two week half term, so im quite lucky with when im due etc 😭🤣xxx
@Sophie my partner is a teacher and i’m due 5th April does this apply to him? Or just the mother?
@Sophie annoyingly that loophole only works if your partner has been employed in the same job for 26 weeks before birth
I’m a secondary teacher and going until the Easter holidays. Nervous as my first child was due in September so I had all of summer off beforehand!
