Load spoon and put on side
Get spoon with hole in middle for babies to handle. They can use both hands too
Pasta we serve penne and she eats it with her hands. Not tried soup or curry yet
This is a good sign, baby is reaching next milestone. My baby also started refusing soon food at same age. Now that she is 16 months she eats everything with her hands. Her appetite improved after she started self feeding. I used apply full cover bib . But yes be ready for messy baby. The only problem I have is with the liquid or soup. I have recently started training her with spoon.
Fill the spoon and let him have it. This is what I do with mine. I put pasta on her plate, I fill the spoon then I put it on the plate ready for her to pick up. She doesn't want for me to do it, she wants do to it herself and I let her. She is very good with spoon, I always left her play and eat with he spoon since the beginning and she is now very very good and precise. It's messy though 🤣
My LB is the same. I still offer purée seeing as I batch made them. Load spoon and leave him to pick it up if he wants it. We’re trying curry tonight. Not going to give him rice, but I’ve cut quite big chicken breast strips and just going to cook as normally would and give to him with the sauce. And going to give him some naan bread too!
Let him feed himself haha and clean the mess Load the spoon for them. My daughter won't always let me feed her too. I've been doing blw and mixture of spoon feeding
