spicy foods

should i be concerned..? my baby is 7 months old. the other day he was taking a nap on me on the couch and i was eating hot cheetos out of a bowl next to us on the couch. anyway. i got really into my show for maybe 5 minutes. and when i looked back at the baby he had a hot cheeto in his mouth and he was gumming it up and eating all the seasoning off. happy as could be. so i took it from him and he cried. this isn’t the first time he accidentally had spice either. another time we were sharing some scrambled eggs andi had a little hot sauce on the side of the plate. he accidentally got his hand in it and before i could wipe it off it was in his mouth. it doesn’t seem to change his poops or hurt his stomach. this behaviour has to be weird… right?

my son also has been trying to get into our taki bags while we eat and unphased by the spice lol as long as his poop is normal he should be fine but obviously don’t feed your baby spicy things on purpose😂

Babies like things a lot more flavourful than we give them credit for

It's honestly fantastic 😄 I'd make sure to keep exposing him to strong flavours, as long as they don't upset his stomach it's going to make him a great eater! (Obviously Cheetos and straight hot sauce aren't ideal, but I'm sure you know that anyway, you can incorporate some spices and seasoning to his food to expand his tastes 🙂)
