What’s location?

I'm in the Thurrock area x

I’m further north but we were surprised by waiting list lengths. Might just be up here but I had to get our LO name down when I was pregnant. Some waiting lists were 2 years long around here x

I would go and look round any nurseries nearby- there were only 2 near me that didn’t charge some kind of “extra fee” on top of the free hours and accepted them on their own

My nursery doesn’t have any spaces until Sept 2026! Def not a case of just having a look and signing them up unfortunately but hopefully wait times are lower in your area

Nurseries can have waiting lists years long. Definitely get on some lists asap!

He just put my name down and a deposit for a place in 2027!!! Waitlist are insane in London. I would view loads in your area - you get a feel for a place. Also consider logistics and traffic etc

Oh no I didn't release the waiting list could be years for nursery's I literally thought a few months 😂🤦‍♀️ thank you everyone for your comments

@Gemma might not be the case but from experience it’s madness. We learnt the hard way with our first child hence paying a deposit on the unborn one already!!!

There was no waiting list for our nursery we chose so it is just luck of the draw I think
