6m+. just use formula or water instead of regular milk

@luu🤎 happy days. Would you do non seeded items? As I know blackberry seeds can be a bit to hard

@Jessica the seeds are usually pretty small, but if you want to avoid seeds by all means! we usually did strawberries, bananas, and blueberries. sometimes some frozen dragon fruit. mango/peach/pineapple are also really good with no seeds!

@Jessica for a sweetener, either just add more banana, or use some agave until they’re 1 😊

They’d be better off having the actual fruits and veg whole rather than as a smoothie. They hold a higher sugar content when they’re blended

A purée is essentially a smoothie so 4+ months 🙂 and blending a fruit does not increase the sugar content lol

@Alina blended fruit it worse for you because it breaks down the fibre meaning your body does not need to use as many calories to absorb it, whole fruits keep you feeling fuller for longer and the sugar is absorbed slower. Rather than back hand reply to my comment, do your own research.

@luu🤎 amazing thanks so much. I’ll avoid agave as my husband is allergic and if I’m making big family smoothie batch best to avoid 😂 Did you put it into a sippy cup for them or bottle

@N 💞 my little one is preemie and hasn’t grasped food holding yet so everything has to be mushed or we spoon fed. Been looking for some other inspiration and ways to help introduce more flavours to them

@Alina I was wondering that when she was having puree if it was similar. Just those pouches can be a little pricey so wanted to see if I could batch stuff myself similar but more liquify 🙈

@Jessica i would use a straw cup! they usually were pretty thin so i didn’t have any issues. i know some people do open cups my kids are damn near feral lmaoo

Totally!! If you want to make them less liquidy you can also add chia or flaxseeds and stick them in the fridge :) a little gelatin even if that’s something you’re ok with - it’s great for the digestive system.

@N 💞 https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC9657402/ Sugar can’t be created by a blender. The sugar content is the sugar content. The difference in how your body processes it is not detrimental to your health unless you’re a diabetic, and even still it’s a stretch. Don’t just throw things around as if you know it all. We’re talking about babies eating produce.

@Alina ok so maybe my wording was wrong. But the point still stands! Having smoothies/blended fruits is worse for everyone than eating whole fruits whether you’re diabetic or not

@luu🤎 nope I’m the same open cup was disaster it’s like they know and just throw it around themselves
