Salmon or cod with mashed with sweet potatoes is a winner for my LO
I just used a pouch as I’m a veggie myself and my OH doesn’t eat fish so didn’t want to give her something I’m not confident in cooking
Nhs have a few recipes: https://www.nhs.uk/start-for-life/baby/recipes-and-meal-ideas/simple-baked-fish/ https://www.nhs.uk/start-for-life/baby/recipes-and-meal-ideas/tasty-salmon-risotto/
I attended a ‘little food explorers’ course and was given a recipe for fish nuggets, I’m happy to share x
We done tuna pasta, fish pies, fish with mash. Pouches etc. x
I’ve done Salmon and rice Fish pie We tried prawn today I just gave her a big prawn that was pre cooked and peeled to chew on then gave it again blended into a curry
We just use pouches, she ate a whole one with salmon in yesterday x
My lo loved tuna and cooked salmon
My training said no prawns before 1
@Lindsay nhs and other websites say prawns are fine we wanted to introduce it early to rule out a shellfish allergy.
Fishcakes or fish fingers/goujons are a good one for BLW. In purees/mashed works too
Thanks everyone will try some of the suggestions!
I baked salmon and cod in the oven, no oil or salt and just broke it down into bigger flakes - she loved it
