Get pojamas to wear (2-3 , you never know how long it takes, labour can come in few hrs or it could not come in 24 and they have to induce again), get woman nappies to wear after giving birth, obviously slippers , get a towel for you face and one for shower. Imagine that you are going into an en-suite room without knowing for how long you will stay there, get everything you think you will need apart from food. And obviously baby stuff , if you don’t know what to get for baby just look online there is plenty of lists for labour bag. Good luck and be strong

If you’re being induced you’ll likely have to spend time in a room with 4-5 other people. Bring AirPods or something blocking out noise! I had to stay next to a lady that was snoring so insanely that I got no rest 😩 another big tip; if you like cold drinks, bring a cooler bag with elements. They’ll either insert a balloon or give you pills. I had the balloon and it was a little discomfort fitting it but they gave me gas and air which was sound. The balloon fell out and contractions started after 3 hours at which point they moved me to a single room on the labor ward (with more gas and air <3 ). The only annoying thing is that they used 16 hours before they had time to insert the balloon 😩

@Isadora oh really? I gave birth in Slough and I had a room for myself until the labour, I didn’t know High Wycombe hospital put you with other people in 🥲

Whaaat, I gave birth in slough as well and until I got to the labour ward it was mental

@Isadora when did you give birth? I did in July 2023 . That’s soo strange 🙁
