Solid starts app

My little girl is 9 months and a half old and she likes only purées and veggie straws the ones you buy on supermarket. I am trying so hard for her to like finger foods but is not working. Heard a lot of good things for solid starts app how it helps with weaning. Has anyone used it and if so have you payed for longer then the free trial or is it the free trial enough to get all the information you need? I am so upset not being able to help her like finger foods

My LG is 10months and hasn't ever entertained any puree i offer her , we've gave her toast which she seems to like and same she loves all the melt sticks etc etc... we do use solid starts just the free version and also follow on instagram , but we haven't ventured much from toast , I wanna try eggs but I'm scared of the allergies etc I don't know why it's my 3rd baby but I'm finding this journey extremely overwhelming!

Just give her what you're eating but cut accordingly.. solid starts gives you advice on cutting things up without paying.. just type in Google e.g. "tomatoes solid starts" usually comes up with a picture of age and stage. Our little one is almost 10 mo and she eats the same meals as us - 3 meals a day. Sometimes she eats one tiny thing.. that's okay. You just are in charge of what they eat, not how much they choose to 💖. If they see you eating the same things they learn from that too. Example of our day yesterday - Breakfast: Porridge oats, with oat milk, frozen berries, peanut butter and ground nuts and seeds Lunch: toast with avocado, silken tofu yoghurt with frozen berries blended. Dinner: sausage lentils - green lentils, sausages, carrots, onion, celery all soft and not puree Water at meals and bottle of water out in the day if wanted. Hope that helps!!

I highly recommend the purple Ella's kitchen book, it us so useful for easy varied recipes and also good guide for food consistency. Talks about blending 6 - 7 months, then mashing, then finely chopping, building up texture gradually upto 12 monfhs plus and I find it really helpful guide. Today my lo had Breakfast: Porridge with apple and banana. Blueberries afterwards. Water to sip on the side Lunch: Toast with cream cheese, cherry tomatoes,.and pudding orange slices. Water to sip Dinner: Veggie daal (from batch cooked frozen ellas kitchen recipe). Pudding- blueberry wafer, raspberries and grapes. Water to sip. All these mashed, not blended now. I give the fruit through a silicone push pop thing as gives me peace of mind

Thank you very much. @Ellie it helps a lot. For the moment she doesn’t have appetite and barely is finishing what I am giving her. I am waiting for this phase of food refusal to finish and then I will try to give her what we eat. @Aimee I just bought it yesterday 🙈 the purple one. I was doing some research cause she likes Ella’s purées and I found the book. Hoping that helps

I'm struggling with this too. My son won't even pick up the finger foods i offer or has a tiny bite and looks disgusted 🤣
