Walking

My girl had mild hip dysplasia they they said she'd grow out of, she's now 15 months. She started walking at 10/11 months and it's always been very stompy and swings her body side to side. She was seen by her specialist at 10 months and they said she'd grow out of it but I'm seeing no change and if anything she's heavier footed and swings side to side with her body more and more, she also has a shorted stride on her good hip. Should I ask to see her consultant again or keep waiting?

You should ask to see the consultant, even if they have said that there should be a follow up. We had the harness, but we were seen at 12 months, 18 months and have our final check at 24 months. Is there no plan to check she did grow out of it? Stompy sounds quite normal, are her legs the same length? Did they see her when she was a few weeks old, or only later? I would definitely chase up for your own piece of mind xx
