I think I have mastitis should I call my OB or my lactation consultant?

@Kiaan thank you! Yeah I really went through hell last night, i couldn’t sleep with the pain and my 1 month old had a stuffed nose all night. Everytime cleared up her nose, it came right back so she couldn’t sleep either and was a bit bit fuzzy
That really does sound terrible... Some ibuprofen in the meantime might help to reduce inflammation and any fever if you have one. Ice packs to boob is good as well. Hope your little one feels better soon too!
OB. You’ll need antibiotics and a lactation consultant can’t prescribe those.
Call your OB or any doctor who is able to give you a script for antibiotics. Hoping you have a speedy recovery, mastisis is the worst :(
