Check out sr_nutrition on Instagram, she also has a book which was my weaning bible with my first 😊
Sone help/advice 1. Start with single veggies, the bitter ones first. 2. You don't need to puree you can mash or even give it as finger foods. In Joe wicks book he mentions giving his child mashed broccoli but also giving grab able pieces so she can hold it and knows what she's eating 3. Give first tastes in the day because you don't know how they're going to respond for example poop it straight out, give them a stomach ache etc. 4. Baby may not like a certain veg one day but may like it the next week so don't give up cone back to it 5. The first few tastes are designed to be that tastes, they won't eat everything. Let baby explore, it's messy but it promotes independent eating. 6. Get bibs that are full-sleeved and are like a top. 7. Get soft baby spoons, I like the munchkin ones there's 2 types you need the ones designed for little mouths, they're narrow 8. Put baby in high chair from now and let them play in it so they get used to it and it's not daunting
9. Put music on to make it relaxing but no TV etc you don't want distraction 10. Stay relaxed yourself, they're not looking for a fill their milk intake is still their main calorie intake 11. Babies' digestion runs differently they will eat more certain times 12. It's only at 9 months when the food intake is more 3 full meals 13. Ella's kitchen does a good weaning starter pack 14. Download Solid Starts it's helpful 15. I used the What Mummy Makes book and Joe Wicks book which I found was great.
Long sleeve bibs, bowl, tray plate with sections, spoons, blender, pots to freeze food, highchair, Ella’s kitchen purple book x
Amazing everyone thank you! Does anyone have links to any of their favourite bits? @Santa @Amy @Fatima @Elena
We love bibado bibs, tumtum tots straw cups, doddl cutlery is great when they’re a bit older too, will be getting a set for the baby for Christmas! Second the solid starts app and Charlotte Stirling-Reed book.
@Becky I ordered cheaper one from amazon but it was poor quality, so it's better to buy these 🙌 https://bibado.co.uk/products/coverall-weaning-bib-long-sleeves?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAudG5BhAREiwAWMlSjMjkW9wvvGf2JBUvAoUIYNCR-k34WjTmNL_w2YhpFiCJeCnyr6KKwRoCCPkQAvD_BwE
