My sister nannys and all the families make her food and tell her to eat whatever snacks she wants.. I feel like it’s only right especially if they are gonna be there during meal time
I’m surprised the Nanny isn’t cooking but maybe I have high expectations. I haven’t hired a nanny, nor have I nannied. If I did, I would want them to make meals on certain days. Either way - no matter who is cooking I would expect that she’s eating with the kids.
I guess ask her. I dunno if she would feel OK eating food pre prepared (like if she has allergies or preferrences)
I’m a live out nanny, and in all of my roles I have cooked and included in my contract was that I could have meals provided while working whether we were home or out on a day out. Sometimes I wouldn’t and I’d have my leftover from the night before etc. No harm in asking your nanny if they would like lunch/dinner provided. My families also allowed me to add to the shopping list if there were specific dietary needs.
I don't have a nanny but I think if they're feeding the kids lunch then they would probably eat with them so yes (I used to live in a houseshare with a nanny and her family went with if she's making it for the kids she may as well eat with them)
