Divorce help
I am clueless how to start the process. I start school in January and have 2 kids and 2 dogs. Husband does nothing to help or take the kids out for activities. He comes home and lays on the couch on his phone. He treats me like a piece of meat and expects me to do everything. Been married 10+ years and he has put hands on me but it’s just gotten worse with the mental abuse from home. Just found out the he recently told our son, “your mom is a terrible mother”. From his credit to the vehicle he drives is all because of me.
Do I need to go on post for legal assistance or should I go off post. I’m medically retired so I have all access on post.

Just go to legal on post first. They may help you take some right steps before you start the divorce. Just remember social media and electronic messages can and will be used against you so don't react when he starts in. Just save his electronic messages and keep a journal of all the abuse he will commit. Be prepared for him to unleash on you about how bad a wife, mother, etc. you are and have been. 😒 Start personal counseling so his words won't have the desired effect and you can bounce questions off the counselor about if what he says has any merit or "would a healthy man say..."
