Chicken Pox and pregnancy

Anyone’s little ones had chicken pox whilst you’re pregnant with ur next baby. Wondering if it’s something I need to be worried about as Google is pretty 50/50. I tried to book a GP appointment and got told to speak to pharmacist and then when I mentioned about being pregnant, the receptionist told me “I wouldn’t know anything about that, go and ask a pharmacist”🤷🏻‍♀️ Just wanted to hear what you guys had been told, and if I need to contact my midwife ?

I would contact your midwife and ask advice. I can't believe the receptionist told you that!

If you've already had chickenpox then there's no risk x

My 2 year old had chicken pox when I was around 30 weeks pregnant. I spoke to docs and he said so long as I've already had it it's absolutely fine and it was 👍

If you had it, it should be alright. If you didn't my midwife mentioned there is an injection they can give you but that's only in the first 24 hours of contact... Never heard of this before but I guess it is something to explore as a precaution and not post factum
