If it’s too thick to drink from a cup then it’s a choke hazard to drink it from a bottle. Can’t you give milky cereal on a spoon?
They should be off the bottle by 18 months. If she can drink out of a cup she doesn't need a bottle.
My son was fully done with his bottle by around 13 months. We had to try a couple of different cups to find the ones he liked and learned to drink from. After he learned to drink from a cup we just never gave him the bottle again and he was fine
So by the time your child is two, they should be able to eat normal food all the way without adding a bottle to it. By the time there six months are supposed to be off of bottle and onto a sippy cup. Your child is way too old to be drinking from a bottle. (Have find a cup a normal cup she likes
I would be worried about dental issues from having a bottle at that age, as well as potential impacts on speech development. Aside from the choking hazard as others have mentioned. You’re also likely stuck in a cycle where she’s filling up from a drink and not eating because she’s not hungry for food. Which is totally understandable as you want her to get some nutrition, but have you looked into feeding therapy if she’s that picky? I would just want to address those issues sooner than later before you’re dealing with other issues on top of that. I’m sure it must be so stressful to have her be so picky!
We never did bottles- just straight to open cups at 8ish months
Personally my son was less than one when he stopped having things in bottle. He had water from a cup from 7 months I think. Also, thick things are huge choking hazards in a bottle so a cup for that is much safer
My daughter is same age, she still has a bottle of milk for bedtime - she’s also a picky eater but only at home. At day care she eats everything not sure why she won’t eat at home so frustrating. I won’t take the bottle away as it’s her comfort before bedtime.
We stopped at 13 months. If my now almost 2 year old refuses his dinner (which at the moment is quite often 😬) Later I will give him cereal like weetabix or something x
