@Stephanie are these toys different than like baby chew toys?
Yes there more durable and made specifically for long term chewing obviously they do get worn eventually but they do last a while
Do what’s best for your child and your family. Try to let go of comparing to your upbringing. We have learned so much! Chewing cravings can be satisfied by food. Try different textures- crunchy, chewy, doughy, crisp- and take notes on which he likes best. You e got this!
@Alicia that is definitely true and I know we have 🥹 I will try foods. He likes food and likes jerky but concern with this is will it create any other issues like dietary? Or is that on me to just portion it out throughout the day??? It’s hard to really notice what triggers these. Yesterday I did notice that he likes to lick a little toy he had. He was playing with it then was looking at it moving it around his hands and then licked it.
Yes allow him to chew he needs to do that. My son chews on his sensory cords or the chewing buddies. If I don’t give him things to chew on he will something that’s not safe to chew on.
Chew buddy you can find different chew toys on Amazon
