Difflam spray is what I was told to use it deffo numbs some of the pain! My son lived on ice pops and milk! Day 8 was when mouth ulcers started getting better. Wishing her well😟
She’s had loads of toddler milk I rang 111 and they wasn’t concerned about eating but I am!
@Amy pharmacist said they have to be an adult to use that spray and she could only use bonjela? She’s dribbling loads and just constantly crying bless her
@Georgia ooh no my pharmacy gave it to me. They asked his age and I told them😩 I sympathise it’s by far the worst illness experienced yet:(
I was recommended Anbesol and it helped my daughter have a few light bites
She’s just constantly crying cannot stay asleep poor thing don’t know how to help her …
@Georgia my boy was the same. We had to get up and cuddle on the sofa for a few nights and watched telly( not ideal I know 😥 ) calpol and nurofen alternated as soon as allowed:(
@Amy so awful never seen her this poorly! She hates taking medicine too so she’ll scream choke everything it’s so awful
@Georgia snap! have to restrain him and blow in his face to swallow! Few days and it’ll start to ease🥺 you’ve got this!
@Amy messaged you!
Have you tried fruit pouches or yoghurts? My LB lived off the fruit pouches when he had HF&M, easy for them to swallow x hope she's better soon x
When my twins had it, we were advised and they lived off of ice pops, freebies, juice, and constent Advil and tylonal constantly it was about day 7-8 things started to look better. Key is make sure they r drinking my daughter ended up in a&e due to dydration from not eating or drinking. It sucks but you will get through it
Ambesol worked best for my little girl and stay on top of ibuprofen. You can also give Calpol along side. They say it’s best to stay away from acidic food like fruit. Try milk and yogurt. It’s absolutely awful disease. Hopefully should only last 3-4 days, you’re 1/2 there! Xx
If she hasn’t eaten in 2 days I’d take her up A&E
