4 month immunisations - sleepy 😴

My LB got his 4 month immunisations yesterday. He usually fights his naps during the day when at home and they mainly need to be contact naps (30 mins each time). Today, he has had 1 x 1 hour nap in the morning and then from 11.50am to 4.50pm he has slept, taking 3 oz of milk at 12.50pm (was in and out of sleep), all of which he slept in the next to me (other when being fed) Has anyone else experienced this with their LOs after immunisations? Thank you ☺️

It’s not uncommon with vaccinations, but if it’s an ongoing thing where Bub is unusually fatigued; I would probably speak to the gp.

Hey mama! Immunising pharmacist here 👋🏻 This is very common with immunisations, not just with babies but people of all ages. Immunisations of any kind can make people (inc babies) can feel sleepy or unsettled after having their vaccinations, for around 1-2 days afterwards. I recall when my daughter had her 4 and 6 mo injections she was quite unsettled and extra tired after. So long as baby is still eating/drinking normally and not having a high temp there shouldn’t be any concern, but if you are ever worried don’t hesitate to contact your GP or whoever looks after your little one ☺️
