On the pathway

Not really a question but it’s just so nice when you finally feel heard and understood- had my little ones 27 month review this week and she has agreed and referred him to the paediatrician, audiology, ophthalmology and SEES (I believe this is a Surrey based thing but I think it’s like the portage service, don’t quote me on that though 🙈)! And now since this everything just feels much less stressful almost like a weight has been lifted! I know we have a long road ahead and I will most likely be in here for advice 🙈☺️ but I just feel like my little one has been recognised and acknowledged :)

Hey I've been on this since my son was three and then 12m after his diagnosis I was also diagnosed with ASD and adhd

Hi, I’m glad that you guys got the outcome you needed ❤️

It was a hell of a fight to get a diagnosis, no gp wanted to listen. It was a relief in the end for us both to get diagnosed. I was able to access support services for my son and my entire life suddenly made sense because I always felt like an outcast. Then suddenly I realised I wasn't alone or a loner, there were people out there who thought the same way I did and I just needed to find them. When my son started school this helped alot. He was drawn to other asd and adhd kids and I got to know their parents and make similar minded friends and be around people who understood our journey.
