Every day! I’d be surprised if she didn’t! 😂 I try to watch for when she seems done and ask her if she’s all done, but if I’m a second too late, there’s food everywhere. I tell her “no” and that we don’t throw food, but honestly it’s mostly just an age thing. It’s not really that “fixable”, they kind of just grow out of it eventually. All we can do is repeat ourselves until it passes 😂
@Lindsay I will try the “all done” technique and see.
@Haley “…but if i am a second too late”…this is soooo relatable ! And it’s literally just a SECOND. By the time I hold her left hand to stop what she is throwing, she has already thrown food using her right hand 🙄. Sometimes I laugh and sometimes I get so livid!
Oh my gosh my son does the same thing!! He did it a lot shortly after turning 1 then after a lot of reminders that food is for eating and to use his words, "all done" it stopped/slowed. But it's definitely picked up again recently. I am trying to firmly say no, food is for eating, or remind him to say (or sign) "all done" if he is done. I am wanting to speak with his childcare educators to see if he is doing this at daycare as well and make sure we are using similar language so hopefully it'll end soon
