Teeth after baby!

I’ve had my third child in April. Since giving birth, my teeth have gone to shit! I’ve always brushed and cared for my teeth and visited the dentist every 6 months and had any work done required. Since having my baby, my gums are red and inflamed and sore, I’ve recently been to the dentist who said I now have gum disease and I’m so devastated! He said pregnancy can cause it but I’m worried I’ll end up with no teeth in my 40s! The damage is done and it can’t be reversed now so I’m so upset about it. Has this happened to anyone else?

my gums we're inflanned and sensitive at the end of my pregnancy, after having baby the inflammation went down which is great! but it took some of my gumline with it😥 my dentist said I have the sad mama guns now

The damage can be reversed to a limit. Did they suggest using interdental brushes/floss and mouthwash? I'm a dental nurse and have the same issue x

My dentist recommended interdental brushes, flossing and mouthwash so it can be reversed as Lauren said to a limit. I've been trying to care for it since...it's my 10 mins of me time to do this daily pre bedtime.

@Lauren yes I went and got brushes and mouthwash so I have been doing it since!
