Induction at Royal Derby

Hello all, I’m due to be induced on November 21st at Derby Royal and I’m so anxious! Struggling to find any positive induction stories and it’s worrying me. My babies growth has tailed quite a lot and my placenta looks as though it’s packing in so he needs out. Just terrified of the whole process as it’s so far from what I wanted. Anyone have anything positive to report about the process please?

Sounds exactly like my experience, my placenta was aging too quickly too and baby had tailing growth. I was induced on the 31st October and had baby on 2nd November at RDH and my experience was extremely positive. Please message if you wish so I can go into more detail as I’d love to help 💙

I’ve had both my babies at the royal, first one induction in 2021 and labour ward and second in the birth centre happy to answer any questions or worries you have x

I was induced on 25th September and my baby came on the 26th, this was also at royal Derby hospital. I have nothing bad to say about the experience, everyone was extremely helpful and polite too 😊 xx
