Breastfeeding question!!!
Hi!! Any preemie moms transition from feeding baby expressed milk to exclusively breastfeeding? Would love to hear your routine and what you did to make baby strong enough to “empty” you without falling asleep within seconds. I’m trying to prevent baby from developing a stronger preference to the bottle vs direct feeding. I also suspect there’s a minor tongue tie so I’m sure that’s contributing as well.
So my preemie twins were absolutely hopeless at breastfeeding until they reached two weeks after their due date and corrected age etc ... then they all of a sudden got the hang of it ... both due to awareness and alertness! I started with doing breastfeeding with top ups , then doing 2 bfs a day, then doing every other feed alternate breastfeeding and bottle. Now ( only because there's two of them and one of me) I bottle feed in the day and bf my twins at night xx
