My girls just been weighed today with the health visitor at 13 weeks, she’s 5.08kg and she was happy with where she is at. She’s following the same line on the chart, did she give a reason why?
You can’t really compare weights of babies they are all so different, has your LO dropped down on the plotted line in the book?
It’s all so new to me sorry
I’m no expert but it doesn’t look like a drastic drop to me, she’s still following between the two lines try not to stress about it too much! You’re doing a great job 🤍
Similar comments to Jess, I am no Health Visitor just a mum and I would be happy with that weight baby is following the line nicely can’t see why you would have got a negative comment, I’d say well done mum.
My baby was weighed at 15+5 and weighs 5.82kg 🙈 she has dropped from 91st to below 50th centiles though which is what they are concerned about. Your baby’s weight looks absolutely fine and still following her curve rough so I wouldn’t worry too much
I don’t understand what her issue is 🤷🏼♀️ Your baby is still on her centile from what she was on at birth. It’s not even really a drop- more of a fluctuation. Baby’s naturally fluctuate and normally it’s nothing to worry about unless they have gained/dropped 2+ centiles in a short period of time. I’m so sorry she made you feel this way, there is absolutely nothing to worry about and keep following your baby’s lead. You’re doing amazing xx
They apparently plato at a certain point, they can’t keep growing 🫣. That’s what the midwife said to us today. Our little boy is 15 weeks, 8.56kg, 98th percentile (perfect proportions), but he has to be “monitored” for his weight. In the same breath she said we’re not feeding him enough milk and need to increase it. She was lovely though and said not to worry and he’s handsome and perfect 🥰. So I honestly think, if they’re happy, feeding, full and not birth weight. They’re doing grand!
Did they put the weight on the chart in the red book? As long as it’s still going on the same line it’s ok. My baby was weighing 5.45kg at 11 weeks he’s always been just below the 25th centile line.
