I would eat what you want but watch how much of it you eat. Have pie but have a small piece. Go for a walk after to help bring down your blood sugar and drink lots of water. Occasional higher numbers are ok.

I ate what I wanted on thanksgiving just in small portions
I had a few numbers that were high and when the dr asked I just told told her that was a stressful day and I ate what I wanted or a birthday etc. my numbers were good otherwise and pretty diet controlled. I was not on meds. I had my baby last week, but if I was still pregnant I’d probably meet in the middle. Eat smaller portions of my favorites maybe try and get a walk in after dinner.
