@Charlotte thank you for this! So many great ideas. I avoid dairy myself due to gastro issues, so should be nice and straightforward to use the dairy subs I use. 😊 Love the idea of homemade flapjacks!
Same here but I found some of the melty sticks are dairy free which my baby loves , weatbix and baby rice with his milk and rusks -sometimes I break it in half or mix up with his milk
@Amy good idea with the rusks - my girl found them too tough on their own!
I'm about to wean my CMPA baby too, and tbh I'm not too worried as its just avoiding milk and things that contain milk. Although, we are being advised by the dietician to introduce small amounts of cows milk at 7 months to see how she gets on
Loads of the kiddylicious and organix snack bits are dairy free. Xx
I found this so difficult at first but I was definitely over thinking it! For meals (when yours is a bit older) I just make whatever we have and either take some out and make it with oat milk for my little one (like mash potato, fish pie etc), but you can also get oatly cream and creme fresh which I’ve found is super helpful if I’m making a creamy dish etc. For breakfast we do Weetabix / porridge with oat milk. He loves toast with either Flora or peanut butter / Jam. Sweet potato’s are also a great one I just mix a bit of flora / oat milk through and give it with some veggies and maybe some fish or something. Curries made with coconut milk my little one loves! And if you want convenience foods (Ella’s kitchen etc) I’ve found most of them to be df they just don’t always advertise it. Snack wise can’t go wrong with banana and blueberry muffins (just substitute milk for whatever you use) or homemade flapjacks :). The coconut collab yoghurt is also great and Asda do their own brand!
