Normal or autistic trait

My boy is 13 months and recently started to refuse to eat if he sees there is food on his fingers. As soon as it happens the food gets thrown and then he will not eat another bite. Even if he has only had a few mouthfuls. I'm getting a bit worried it could be a sign of autism as he is showing some other signs too. Is it normal ?

Very normal, they’re still exploring and experimenting with the world. Fussy phases with food particularly are common in toddlers. Has he been baby led weaned from the start or is eating with hands a new concept to him? Is the food new foods or ‘safe’ foods? Exposure over time will help. Lots of ‘autistic signs’ are very common traits in such young toddlers which is why nobody will look at diagnosing such a young child x

After you clean his hand will he go back to eating? Also agree with above
