drinking through straw
How are you teaching our babies to drink through straws? I’ve tried a few different methods that I’ve seen on tik tok but my little guy just hasn’t been able to pick it up yet, maybe he just isn’t ready yet. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I used a silicone cup with straw and gave it a little squeeze to show him until he figured it out.
@Crystal yes we did the same ! Ur ours was this little bear cup I forget the brand but you can squeeze it when they suck so they can get water Also at the beginning I just held the water in the straw with my finger and let her suck and gave it to her that way
Try him with pouches. You can always make your own pouches if you don’t want to give him store bought. The way my daughter drank from pouches lets me know she was ready to try straw. It’s the same sucking/pulling. Hope that helps.
We did pouches and then when we offered a straw cup he instantly started using it
i dipped the straw in a little bit of yogurt & my daughter started sucking to get more yogurt & learned that way!
