Healing taking ages

I had a c-section at the end of July. Most of the incision is healed, but there is one stubborn little bit the was torn open again by babies foot when I was burping him a few weeks post op. It’s about half a cm in size. It’s like the healing has just paused and it’s hasn’t progressed in about 2-3 months now. I went ti the GP, but he wasn’t worried about it and just said give it time. But I feel there should have been some change by now. I love swimming and don’t feel like I can go until it’s healed properly. I’ve been reading about wound treatment that you can get where they basically clear out the dead old skin/scan stuff to try and kick start healing again. Just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience. I probably need to push the doctor harder now for a referral or something?

My c-section scar opened up but it happened about a week after, mine was 3cm wide and 2cm deep so I had to have appointments 2 time a week at the gp for a nurse to clean pack and dress the section and this went on for around 6 weeks then the last bit had to heal on it’s own and finally fully healed I would say around week 12 the last bit was the hardest to heal, as it’s a area that get hot so you need to be airing and drying it throughout the day, if you get time laying on the bed with the hairdryer on cool helps to dry and cool it xx

My incision is exactly the same. A stubborn small bit right on the end that just keeps opening up and I’m almost 6 months pp. I’ve continued to swim and walk and did an exercise class yesterday. I just tend to bathe in salt water and keep as dry as possible when it opens up. It’ll close eventually. Obviously get checked if it’s causing pain or look infected etc xx

I had trouble with mine healing, I would place a piece of gauze under my overhang every day to keep it dry and use saline wound wipes from boots every day to clean it , healed a treat in the end . Mine fully healed at 5 months I think mainly because I did that .xx
