Is smoking harmful for the baby?

I'm asking this because I like smoking but I see all over the place that it's harmful so is that true or not? I want to still smoke, I miss it

My baby girl is doing just fine! Actually extremely advanced 😂. I used my Chillum or smoked out of Raw papers. I only smoked like twice a month

I smoked ma whole pregnancy

@Lyric okay good, because Google is telling me "no don't do that, it will be harmful for your baby."

@Ria okay and it didn't harm the baby or anything?

@Samie Jeane no not at all and he was fine wen he came into dis crazy world

@Ria that's good to know, I miss smoking

I feel the same as you. I smoked whole pregnancy as it helped with sickness and hunger. But baby born early 35+ an im exclusively bf and gettin overwhelmed with everything but in scared to smoke😭

It does matter how you smoke it. But I couldn’t find anything definitively saying that it’s bad or harmful. Most said not enough research when I was looking. I wish I was in a legal state so doctors just, talked about it. But yeah. It’s something not researched enough apparently either way to say.

Did everyone smoke weed and roll it? Sorry to be so precise cos I’ve been seeing lots of people either taking cbd or other ways. Has anyone just smoked pure weed in there pregnancy? As I smoke now and again and feel so so so bad but it’s the only thing keeping me going with my nausea

@Ays I used glass only.

@Ays i rolled it

Didn’t harm my baby. But they did open a DCF case because we both tested positive for it at birth. So becareful. It was closed after a month, 3 home visits. Just to make sure I had a safe home for him.

@Rezalynn I am extremely careful, I make sure not to over do it and only smoke if I feel like it would help me out.

I love weed but it is bad while pregnant. Any type of inhaling of smoke is not good for baby. They will open a DCF case against you if the baby test positive after birth, I also had friends that smoke with babies that came out preterm and two my friends babies have heart issues because of it. But I also know people that baby come out healthy. Really just taking chance, up to you but it is harmful.

@Mikelah okay thank you:), I'll look more into it as well

@Samie Jeane I did until I was about five months pregnant. It didn’t do nothing to my baby. My baby is completely healthy while I was breast-feeding. I didn’t smoke because I can trace into your breastmilk. And I didn’t test positive. But they did indeed tested me

There is actually a research that took place in a country in the 80s I just can’t remember right now the country’s name. Weed is good there I hear 😅. It was done by a woman doctor?! and the conclusion was that weed babies are prettier and smarter. Do with that as you wish.

I smoked the entire pregnancy except for two weeks prior to giving birth and my baby is ADVANCED..

Okay I'm hearing that its good and bad, just as long as I don't over do it. I'll be okay, correct?

If you do decide to smoke weed don’t do it before or near birth preferably they will open a case on you and some have gotten there child taken away from it Not judging just warning

@Patience okay noted, but is right now okay? (I'm 7 weeks)

@Samie Jeane yea u definitely will be ok

@Samie Jeane yes it’s okay as long as you’re comfortable with it! :) I had a friend who took CBD gummies instead of smoking cuz they were scared of smoke inhalation and their baby is fine and didn’t get a case on them but idk if she did it near birth I’m not very educated on it so please don’t take my word for that tho I would do research yourself and you make the best decision for you I’m just adding this to see if that would make your anxiety less about it all!

@Patience okay yay and yeah I'm comfortable with it

@Patience I'll be doing my research tonight and asking a stoner mom I know about it as well

I think it is, I believe so, yes

I think it's harmful to you too. Bad for babies development and tiny little lungs, can cause more chance of sids and lung problems, asthma later in life and I guess they could become addicted to it. I think you should try and stop smoking altogether and never look back for the health of you and your baby. Do you wnat your little one to see you smoking get used to it and take up the bad habit when they are older
