I was really apprehensive about induction but honestly, mine was a lovely experience. Induced with no notice at 37 weeks due to pre-eclampsia My little story is... I was already a little dilated so had a half dose of gel, the following morning they popped my waters. I did lots of walking, bouncing etc for a few hours and was having plenty of regular contractions but they weren't lasting long enough so tried Pethidine along with the hormone drip to let me rest but ramp things up at the same time. Pethidine did nothing for me so had an epidural which worked wonders, pushed for 20 mins 👌 so other than the pethidine blip, it went really smooth, about 24 hours start to finish but a huge chunk of that was just waiting around xx
Thank you so much @Natasha @Heather I feel a lot more confident! ❤️❤️❤️🙏🏻
I had an induction with my first which went really well. I was given a pessary and contractions started, they gave me some time to go into labour naturally before giving me the hormone drip. I had had gas and air and pethidine for pain relief. He was born in 3 hours. I was also induced with my 4th, I was already dilated enough for them to just break my waters, contractions started almost straight away and baby was born 40mins later, no need for any medical intervention at all. Both really positive inductions ☺️
