When to take child to hospital for vomiting?

Toddler has low ish temp, has been vomiting on and off since 1pm. Hasn’t eaten anything since 2:30pm and has had sickness since including 10 minutes ago which was just pure water that he’s drank. Seems a bit lethargic but that could be from being tired and the several throw ups today. I’m considering 111 but my partner has just said they will tell us to take him in and he thinks that will be worse for him and he needs to rest and sleep.

I think the main thing to watch out for is if they're not having wet nappies. Make sure he has small sips of water rather than gulping it down or else it might come back up again straight away. Give him bland food like bananas and rice when he wants to eat again. Nhs direct will ask a load of questions and only if the answers are worrying do they ask you to go in. For us they said to manage symtoms at home. I know what you mean about having to drag a baby out in the cold at night and wait in A &E for hours though. Really not the best thing for an ill child.
