I went to hinchingbrooke in Huntingdon. No experience with Pboro maternity but I didn’t find them great in other services with relatives hence my decision to go to hinch
I live in Ramsey. I gave birth in Hinchingbrooke. I had no problems with the midwives during Labour but the triage midwives were awful. Refused to let me go in but when I eventually just took myself in I was 8cm and was taking straight thru. X
Is hinchinbrook bit more chilled. Is it in the main hospital or diffrant xx
I will add also that I used to work in an nhs role unrelated to either Pboro or hinch but a consultant friend who I worked with told me that hinch does have the edge. Pboro is a newer hospital aesthetically than hinch which was old school but to me that didn’t matter. The care is what I wanted. I had amazing midwives both times
In the main hospital. My midwives were lovely. One was called Emily. My daughter was the first baby she had delivered since qualifying 🥰 my community midwife was called Laura, she was fab!!
I’m currently with Hinchingbrooke. Not dealt with Peterborough myself but have just heard better things about Huntingdon from colleagues and friends and they are honestly fab and so lovely. Couldn’t fault them.
Oh great and do u just call them to get in. X
Hitchingbrooke is amazing. I was in for a total of 6 days (induction and recovery after c-section), and they all gave me such confidence and support. A lady called Hazel was a really supportive Mum figure x
I’ll look out for her thank u.
My friend had a good experience with hinchingbrooke. I’d heard mixed opinions on Peterborough but I personally had a great experience with them
Thank u I’ve booked with honchingbrooke
I chose Peterborough. I already know some of the nurses there as we were just starting IVF in January before this happened. They’ve been really helpful so far and instead of cancelling my ivf referral outright, they’re holding it until my first scans and my tests. Far as I’m concerned they didn’t have to and I am massively grateful. After having an MMC in 2019 and having my D&C there, they do seem like a really lovely bunch. Im being cautious and they’re supporting me so I’m grateful x
Peterborough is ok, the midwives we had were lovely but I’ve heard better things about Hinchinbrooke in Huntingdon
