Multiple pregnancies

Did you have HG in all your pregnancies? If the answer was yes, I’m curious to know if you had the same gender or different?

Both girls, both HG 🙃 2nd HG isn't as bad but I think you just learn how to deal with it plus I have a crazy toddler who needs attention x

@Emer after experiencing hg and having multiple hospital admissions, I dunno how I’d cope whilst having a 3yr old at home 😰

Yes I was the same with first baby, this time round I've been discharged same day each time but I've put pressure on that to happen and have a very supportive hubby who helps loads at home when he isn't working. It is hard with a toddler don't get me wrong but we wanted a 2nd baby so badly and the HG is only temporary (9months 🙃) x

2 boys and both HG, I got a rock solid plan in place with my gp before ttc and used a lot of support and guidance from pregnancy sickness support charity to do this and advocate for pre-emptive medication. From spending most of my 1st pregnancy in hospital I did not need admission in my 2nd and whilst still very bad in comparison to a non HG pregnancy, it felt as close to 'normal' as I was capable of getting x

My mom had it with my brother (older) and then didn’t have it with me. I don’t want to find out for myself I’m terrified

HG 2nd time for me is as bad, if not worse as I’ve got to survive whilst looking after my toddler. Only thing that’s got me through is endless amounts of anti-sickness tablets x

I had HG both times and I have a girl and a boy 🤷🏾‍♀️ I think it has more to do with the dad’s DNA (at least in my case) then with baby’s gender

First little girl, HG till 20 weeks, skeletal, couldn’t drink tap water, bedridden other than hospital trips for IV rehydration. Lived off part of a tinned peach slice a day pretty much. Second little girl, start of HG, new medicine - Xonvea, turned HG into morning sickness overnight. Managed to wean off the medicine at 25 or 26 weeks (so sickness continued longer than first pregnancy - not sure if the sickness itself was worse or not as the tablets worked so well). Now 34 weeks pregnant 🤰🏻

I had HG from 5 weeks in my first pregnancy and it lasted right until she was born but currently 16w4d with my second and definitely don’t have HG this time! I had the typical morning sickness in the first trimester but it really calmed down after about 13/14 weeks. No idea what we’re having yet (gender scan next week) but everyone suggests this one is a boy because this pregnancy has been the polar opposite from my first😂

HG with my girl from weeks 5-40 and severe morning sickness that passed at 13 weeks with my boy

Both pregnancies, worse second time around and both boys x

Yikes 😖😖

@Rachel this is what I need second time round 😂🙌

@Cesca I’ve been hearing quite a bit about xonvea but I haven’t looked into it, I’m always skeptical about new medicine but I’ve heard good things relating to HG

Its got the same active ingredients that have been used in the US for years, but weren’t available in the UK before. Xonvea is now (as if 2024) part of the RCOG guidelines for pregnancy sickness and Xonvea is also the only drug licenced for pregnancy sickness in the UK ✨
