Sinus infection

Not baby related but has anyone on here had a bad sinus infection before? & can the doctors help? I had Covid week before last and I have had a bad sinus infection for around 2 weeks. Been taking Sudafed, doing nasal rinse, using nasal sprays, drinking plenty, loads of hot showers.. nothing is helping. Sometimes I am in agony with sinus pain in the whole of my head and face. Not sure if a trip to docs would just be a waste of time

I seem to get a sinus infection now at the end of every cold. I’ve not been to the docs about it, have always gone to the pharmacy and got a suitable nasal spray. I can only use certain ones as I’m breastfeeding. But it might be worth a docs trip as perhaps they can prescribe something stronger than you can get over the counter.

If it’s a sinus infection definitely get on the antibiotics asap! It will give you instant relief. I’ve only had a couple in my time but it’s such a horrendous headache - worse than a migraine in my opinion so please look after yourself xx

@Charlotte I’ve been today and they’ve given me a steroid nasal spray. My obs were fine so they think my body can fight it without antibiotics 😞 agreed it’s on par with migraine, I suffer with migraines too xx
